In October 2020 Hydropure placed five water tanks with a total capacity of 55,000 litres to collect rainwater at De Zonnegloed in Oostvleteren. The non-profit organisation gives neglected wild animals a future by taking care of them. As a future-oriented and sustainable organisation De Zonnegloed realises that its own water supply is extremely ecological, practical and also cost-saving. Because the grounds are not connected to the public sewage system, a water purification plant was also installed, which purifies the toilet water before it is discharged into the environment. Another fine example of symbiosis between sustainability and cost efficiency. Our partner in this project was earthworks Maes, whom we would like to thank.
