NEW WATER TREATMENT PLANT AT PORT OF ANTWERP-BRUGES KALLO LOCK
The plant, designed by Hydropure, processes 15,000 liters of domestic wastewater per day and meets extra stringent requirements imposed by PoAB. For example, "fish water quality" was required, a stricter standard than the sectoral Vlarem standard. Study agency IRS did the preliminary study and consulted with Hydropure on the best solution and integration at the site.
Custom work
The installation had to take into account the existing infrastructure of the building and the surroundings of the lock. For the effective installation, we collaborated with Group Advance; the connections and installation of the techniques were carried out by Hydropure:
- connecting interconnections
- placement and connection of pumps
- construction of the new technical installation
- programming and installation of PLC controls
- the connection of the electrical cabling and the electrical control box
- The installation of the sensors
Service by Hydropure
Hydropure ensures the operation by annual maintenance of the plant and by taking samples of the treated wastewater in the first two years. Consequently, the results to date are extremely good.
Thanks to this installation, the service building goes beyond the usual standard of purification and meets the objective of Port of Antwerp-Bruges.
