With more than 1,600 employees, Clarebout Potatoes is an impressive player in the European frozen fries market. With the continuing and growing demand for products and extensive manpower, the need for expansion grew for the company, which proved challenging at the headquarters site in Nieuwkerke. The French town of Dunkirk quickly emerged as the solution and a solid foreign investment.
The new plant will operate 24 hours a day and will be capable of producing as many as 1,400 tons of fries and accompanying products.
But that is not Clarebout's only endeavor in this region. The company has also made a determined commitment to sustainability. A major initiative in this regard is the installation of its own water treatment plant, with the help of Hydropure. This plant was carefully designed and built to meet the customer's specific needs. The customized design allows the plant to integrate seamlessly into the production process. The plant has a capacity of 22500 liters of wastewater per day and features an integrated pump pit. In addition, the accompanying control box has been customized with alarms and emergency stop, further enhancing the safety and efficiency of the system.
