DP World Antwerp - GWU

DP World is a joint venture between DP World Antwerp Holding, Cosco, Terminal Link and Duisport Group.

Hydropure has already built various installations for this global logistics player: IBAs, GWUs, separators, and always to the highest standards. After a thorough preliminary study, the new OPS building was equipped with a black water reuse system.

The domestic and grey wastewater is sent via 5 septic tanks to the pump wells from where the water is pumped into a processing tank. There, it is first biologically purified in tanks. Next, the treated wastewater (effluent) is separated from the bacteria by means of an MBR filtration element. The effluent is then reused in the building. The installation has a payback time of 4 years.
